Terms and Conditions
Please, read these terms carefully before you commit to do business with us. You are most welcome to ask for clarification of any point(s) below. The term "supplier" in this document shall refer to Party Equip UK.
- We charge a prepaid 40% refundable deposit (RD) for all the equipment hired. This is 40% of the total value of equipment hired including the value of equipment on free hire. The RD is fully returned to the customer in the event that:
- equipment is received in their Original Quantities,
- the original item is returned. We DO NOT accept replica or swapped items
- equipment is received Clean and Dry, unless a cleaning service has been requested.
- equipment is received Packaged as hired
- equipment is received in Good Working Conditions,
- equipment is received Without any defects or imperfections,
- equipment is returned On Time as booked unless some arrangements have been agreed on.
- PLACING A BOOKING ORDER
- We recommend that customers submit their booking requests at least 5 days before collection/delivery date to allow us better preparation.
- For events taking place in less 5 days or less, the customer must contact the supplier prior to submitting a booking order.
- Note that equipment in RED is either depleting or out of stock. Therefore, please check for its availability first by calling us/WhatsApp Message/Text/Contact Us Ticket or by e-mail.
- The customer must make full payment for their order within the given a timeframe. However, prior to making payment, the customer can amend the invoice by adding and/or removing items from their order. The customer can also decide to cancel their order without obligation.
- The supplier will supply the order on time as required by the customer and making sure all the items are clean.
- Party Equip UK will supply equipment that is generally clean. This means that we DO NOT polish cutlery or glassware.
- Party Equip UK will supply equipment that is not defective/damaged. Therefore, before the customer accepts the equipment, they must inspect and confirm that the equipment is in good working condition.
- RETURNING EQUIPMENT
- The equipment can be returned by the customer properly cleaned, dried thoroughly repackaged in the same manner they were supplied to the customer. Otherwise the customer will be charged the full amount of cleaning the equipment.
- If the customer is returning the equipment not clean, they must discard any drink residue and wipe off all food residue before repackaging the items. All wine goblets and champagne flutes must be packaged in an upright position, or in the same manner they are supplied to the customer.
- In any event that the customer can no longer clean the equipment, please be sure to return the equipment on the same day of your event or the next day. However, you MUST discuss this with the supplier. In addition, the customer must pay for the cleaning service according to the current charges from our website.
- The customer must not ruin, damage or discard the equipment packaging in part of as a whole. All dividers that are used to secure and protect glassware must not be discarded. Otherwise, the customer may be charged at least £10 for any damages/loss in this regard.
- Party Equip UK will thoroughly inspect equipment that is returning from the customer before the Refundable Deposit is returned to the customer.
- In case of loss/damage of equipment or equipment return delays, the Refundable Deposit is used to recover the costs. Where damage/loss/delay costs exceed the prepaid amount, the deficit is billed to the customer.
- ELECTRICAL and HYDRO-ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
- Electrical appliances are tested in the presence of the customer for quality assurance before they collect the equipment and after returning the equipment. Information on how to operate some of the equipment is readily available for the customer, and a demonstration on how to operate the equipment is given to the customer.
- The customer promises to properly operate all the equipment supplied to them by following the SOP or the manual of each item. For example, never operate soup kettles without water in the Baines Marie. Never plug and switch on water boilers when they are empty.
- OPERATING WET HEAT EQUIPMENT
- Chafing dishes we supplied use wet heat only. Therefore, put water into the water pan at least halfway before lighting the flame underneath them. Always replenish water to avoid running them dry.
- The customer and Make sure Never run chafing dishes without water in the water pan.
- CONSUMABLES
- In terms of chafing fuel burn time, the supplier cannot not guarantee the longevity of burn time, or whether the fuel will burn at all. The guarantee given is that of the product manufacturer.
- MAKING PAYMENT
- The order must be paid in full before it can be processed for reservation. This also means that if the equipment is not paid for within the given period, its availability is not guaranteed. This order will automatically be cancelled with or without further notice.
- The customer must not make payment once the given time frame has expired. Otherwise their payment is refunded and the customer is liable for any costs caused by their transaction.
- We do not accept cash payments for our services. Therefore, customers have 3 payment options to choose from.
- Party Equip UK will never take payment over the phone.
- For large orders of at least £600, customers are allowed to pay in 2 instalments as long as the final payment is paid within the given timeframe. If the order is cancelled after partial payment has been made, the rule of "No Refund" policy is applied.
- NO REFUND POLICY
- The customer agrees to abide by our "No Refund" policy.
- The customer is refunded 100% if a natural disaster is the extenuating factor that caused their event to be cancelled.
- There is no refund where the order is cancelled on the day it was due for collection.
- However, if the customer postpones their event to a new date within the next 4 months, their order is supplied to them on the same invoice. In this case, the customer must discuss their intentions with the supplier at least 5 days before they effectively cancel their order.
